Website statistics

JGP Consultancy uses self-hosted Matomo to understand how visitors find this website, which pages they visit and where they leave. This notice covers website analytics only, not every other processing activity of JGP Consultancy.

What we measure

Page visits, referring websites and search engines, campaign codes, approximate visit duration, country and general browser/device information. Fixed-category events include contact and Quickscan clicks, form starts, submission attempts and scroll milestones. Form contents and email addresses or telephone numbers from links are not included.

Privacy controls

No analytics cookies, user account IDs, advertising profiles, mouse recordings or session replays are used. IP addresses are shortened before storage and geolocation: the last two IPv4 octets are masked, with corresponding IPv6 masking. Location is therefore approximate.

Without cookies Matomo may temporarily group interactions into visits using technical characteristics. The statistics are not guaranteed to be completely anonymous, and visitor counts, navigation and duration remain estimates. General URL query parameters and fragments are removed from analytics payloads; only limited campaign codes are retained.

Storage and retention

Analytics are stored on JGP Consultancy’s own Hetzner VPS, not Matomo Cloud. The dashboard requires both VPN access and a login. Detailed analytics are configured for automatic deletion after 90 days; aggregated reports after 24 months. Daily local backups are retained for approximately seven days. Cleanup runs periodically, not at an exact second.

Opt out

We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. The link below disables analytics for this browser. Only the opt-out preference is saved in local browser storage, never used for tracking. If local storage is unavailable, the opt-out applies only to the opened URL.
